How does the validation work?
Your code is parsed with the browser's real DOMParser as image/svg+xml. If the parser reports an error, or the root element is not <svg>, you get the exact error message. Nothing is guessed.
What do the zoom controls do?
50%, 100% and 200% scale the rendered SVG relative to its own size, while Fit stretches it to the preview pane width. Useful for checking how your icon looks at small sizes.
Is my SVG uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser tab: parsing, rendering, download and copy. Your code never leaves your device.
