Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between screen size and viewport size?
Screen size is your whole display (for example 1920x1080). Viewport is the part of the page currently visible in the browser window, which shrinks when you resize the window or open dev tools.
What does device pixel ratio mean?
It is how many physical screen pixels make up one CSS pixel. A ratio of 2 means the display is a Retina/HiDPI screen with double the sharpness of a standard display.
Is any of this data sent anywhere?
No. Every value is read live from your own browser with standard JavaScript (window.screen, matchMedia) and never leaves your device.
