What counts as punctuation here?
The tool uses Unicode punctuation (P) and symbol (S) classes, so it catches far more than ASCII: curly quotes, dashes, currency signs, math symbols and marks from many scripts.
Should I delete punctuation or replace it with spaces?
Delete keeps words glued together, which is best for compact tokens. Replace with a space keeps word boundaries, which is better before feeding text into search or analysis tools.
Does my text leave my browser?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded or stored anywhere.
