How does the extraction work?
The tool opens your PDF with the open-source pdf.js library, walks every page's drawing commands, finds each embedded image object, and renders it to a PNG you can download. Vector graphics and text are not images, so they are not extracted.
Why does the same image appear more than once?
If an image is reused on several pages, it is listed once per page so you can see exactly where it appears. Download whichever copy you need.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The whole process runs in your browser. Your PDF never leaves your device.
