How are tabs converted?
Each tab character becomes the number of spaces you choose (2, 4 or 8). Pick the width that matches your editor or style guide.
Will it remove intentional indentation?
No. Collapsing only merges runs of two or more spaces into one; single spaces and line starts keep working as normal. Trimming only touches line edges.
Can I process code with this?
Yes for plain cleanup, but be careful with languages where indentation is meaningful, like Python. Review the result before replacing source code.
