Frequently asked questions
What does the JSON validator check?
It parses your text with the browser's built-in JSON parser, so it catches the same errors real apps would: missing commas, unclosed brackets, single quotes instead of double quotes, trailing commas, and anything else that is not valid JSON. The exact parser error is shown.
What is the difference between Format and Minify?
Format adds indentation and line breaks so humans can read the structure. Minify strips all unnecessary whitespace so the payload is as small as possible for production use. Both keep the exact same data.
Is my JSON sent to a server?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you paste ever leaves your device.
