Paste a page's HTML, or try fetching its URL directly. Every <img> is listed with its alt status and you get a real computed score.
Frequently asked questions
Why does missing alt text matter for SEO?
Missing alt text hurts accessibility and image SEO: screen readers skip the image and search engines lose context. Aim for 100 percent of meaningful images carrying a short, descriptive alt.
Why does the URL fetch sometimes fail?
Most websites block direct cross-origin reads in the browser (CORS). The paste mode always works and analyzes exactly the HTML you give it, so nothing is lost.
Should every image have alt text?
Decorative images (spacers, icons, dividers) can legitimately use an empty alt attribute, which this tool reports separately as empty rather than missing. Content images should always describe the image.
