Frequently asked questions
What is a HEIC file?
HEIC is the photo format iPhones use by default. It saves space but many Windows apps and websites cannot open it, which is why converting to JPG helps.
Will converting reduce quality?
Barely. At the default quality of 0.9 the JPG looks the same as the original to the human eye. Lower it only if you need a smaller file.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. The whole conversion runs in your browser, so your photos never leave your device.
