What is Event schema markup?
It is structured data that describes an event: name, start and end dates, location, organizer and ticket price. Valid markup makes your event eligible for rich results with dates, location and ticket links in Google search.
How do I mark up an online event?
Choose the online location type and enter the event URL. The tool sets the location to a VirtualLocation and the attendance mode to online, exactly as Google expects for virtual events.
What if my event is cancelled or postponed?
Set the event status field. The tool adds the matching schema.org status so search engines show the correct state instead of sending visitors to a dead event page.
