Densities are standard kitchen references (e.g. all-purpose flour 0.55 g/ml, honey 1.42 g/ml). Scooping and packing change real weights slightly.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I need to pick an ingredient?
A cup of flour weighs much less than a cup of honey. Volume-to-weight conversion is only honest when the ingredient's density is known, so this tool uses real published densities.
How accurate are the densities?
They are standard kitchen references. Real results vary a little with scooping, sifting and packing, so treat them as precise estimates, not lab measurements.
Can I convert grams back to cups?
Yes. Switch to the Weight to volume tab, enter grams, and the tool converts back using the same density.
